Celebration event marks 10 years of protecting Farmland Forever!
In November, friends of farmland from across Ontario gathered at Country Heritage Park in Milton to celebrate OFT’s 10th Anniversary with a local food feast, silent auction, music, and entertainment by playwright and humorist Dan Needles.
Proceeds from the event went to OFT’s $1 million Farmland Forever campaign that is building our capacity to protect more farmland for current and future generations.
One special part of the celebration was the presentation of OFT’s first Farmland Forever Legacy Awards – the start of a new tradition to recognize individuals and organizations that have made exceptional contributions to the protection of Ontario farmland. Stew Hilts, Don Prince and Rodger Cummins were presented with inaugural Legacy Awards for their many years of volunteer support that was instrumental in the establishment of OFT.
It was a wonderful evening – many thanks to our friends of farmland for making our 10th Anniversary a memorable one!
Thank you also to our celebration sponsors:
A big thanks also to our silent auction donors:
