In 2024, the Ontario Farmland Trust launched Flavours of Farmland, an educational campaign aimed at celebrating the wide variety of food products that are grown, processed, and sold locally by dedicated Ontario producers. In addition to partnering with producers, the campaign showcases the different types of soils and microclimates needed to produce the over 200 commodities Ontarians are proud to have access to. After all, Ontario is home to some of Canada’s best, most fertile farmlands.
With more and more threats impeding on our agricultural landscapes, now more than ever, we recognize the need to amplify and advocate for our farmers in order to preserve our local economies and food systems. We are proud to partner with farmers across Ontario to showcase some of the many commodities produced in our province.
Discover Our Passionate Producers
Meet our passionate producers across the province, and their commitment to producing their commodities. Through this map, we urge you to support our local farmers by purchasing directly from their businesses and discovering the beauty of Ontario farmland through their experiential offerings. With every purchase, and every visit, you sow the seeds of solidarity, nurturing our communities and landscapes for a flourishing future. Thank you for helping us protect farmland forever.
