Did you know the Ontario Farmland Trust is seeking farmland protection advocates all across the province? Volunteering with the Ontario Farmland Trust offers an excellent opportunity for people who are passionate about local food and agriculture to make a difference.

We have opportunities for:

  • Communications Volunteers
  • Community Engagement Volunteers
  • Land Stewardship Volunteers: Land stewardship volunteers will assist in conducting annual monitoring visits to our farmland easement agreement properties to make sure the easement agreement conditions are being upheld. *NEW
  • Policy and Research Volunteers: Provincial policies can have a large effect on farmland protection and conservation. Staying informed and advocating for policies that will ensure farmland stays in production and available as habitat for species as risk is an important part of OFT’s work. *NEW
