Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day!
Together, let’s take a moment to reflect on where we are currently living and working.
Ontario Farmland Trust respectfully acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional territory shared between the Haudenosaunee confederacy and the Anishinabe nations, which was acknowledged in the Dish with One Spoon wampum belt.
We extend our thanks and gratitude to the original keepers of this land, and we commit to better understanding our individual and collective relationship with the land.
Today, we would like to invite you to learn about what traditional territory you reside on. Click here to learn more.
We would also like to encourage everyone to learn more about Truth and Reconciliation by visiting the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
